Welcome to the Tower 5 website. It was launched on the 26th of June, 2025 – the day Tower 5 celebrated its 20th Birthday!
It was a great celebration, and you can see the photos in the Gallery section.
The purpose of the site is to provide residents and owners easy access to the key information and resources that are needed when living in this wonderful Tower.
The site will be kept simple and small. It will focus on providing the most commonly useful information – not all information. We look forward to hearing your suggestions and feedback. The website is mostly still ‘under construction’ and material will be added gradually over the coming months.

Tower 5
Mirvac designed Tower 5 to be built and recognised as one of Melbourne’s most prestigious apartment towers, with the highest levels of amenity and quality. Tower 5 also sits in a prime location, in an exclusive riverside precinct, close to the CBD.
Mirvac certainly achieved and stayed true to their goals. We, the owners of the building, are the beneficiaries of all that great work and are proud to see our tower retaining its prestige and reputation for quality and community.
Owner’s Corporation
Your Owners Corporation Committee (OC) is working constantly to ensure Tower 5 maintains its reputation and premium position. It is our most important responsibility. We also focus on maintaining the excellent condition of the tower, its professional operation, and on nurturing a strong sense of community throughout the building and neighbourhood.
These key factors underpin the growth in the value of our apartments and help create the wonderful Yarra’s Edge lifestyle – thus generating the demand that attracts new owners, residents and commercial businesses.
It is worth noting that the building, in 2025, entered a new phase of its 100+ year life. We are seeing more renovations, larger and longer renovations, and the entire tower façade has had surface repairs and re-sealing in preparation for full external painting in 2025/26. This amount of work and activity has impacts on the whole building, its services and its residents.
The OC’s role is to ensure this work is of a consistently high quality and that it proceeds smoothly, with the least amount of disturbance to all. We thank all owners and residents for their continued support during these times and indeed throughout all years. It’s your neighbourly spirit, kindness and cooperation with each other that makes Tower 5 such a great place to live.
OC Committee
The members of the 2025 OC Committee are: Helina Marshall, Andrea Moody, Merilyn Petricevic, Geoff White, Kelvin Milroy, Andrew Ligdopoulos, Mark Camiller, Gary Busby (deputy chair) and Ian Johnson (chair). Many have been members for many years.
It is a busy and productive OC. All are volunteers and put in a lot of time and effort for the benefit of the residents, building and community. Perhaps, when you see one of them, you might like to personally thank them for their wonderful service.
OC Manager and Building Manager
Now, let’s talk about Julie and Darren! These two amazing people work tirelessly for everyone in Tower 5. A huge thank you to you both, from all the residents and owners. And thanks to your wonderful staff and regular contractors too – you are all outstanding! It’s your work and knowledge and experience that makes living in Tower 5 so enjoyable, year after year. The Chairperson’s task would also be much more difficult, and the OC Committee not as effective, without Julie and Darren. You two make it a great team, and we all thank you for your ongoing commitment and support for everyone at Tower 5.
Yarra’s Edge and Mirvac
Yarra’s Edge is a 14-hectare site located on the north-facing bank of the Yarra River in Melbourne’s Docklands. Mirvac commenced works at Yarra’s Edge in 1999 and on completion, the precinct will include around 2,300 dwellings (4000-ish residents) with a component of retail and commercial spaces, boat berths and a marina. Currently (2025), there are 9 apartment Towers and about 100 townhouses and construction has recently commenced on the next Tower, Trielle. It is expected to open in early 2027 and is valued at around $400M. There will be one more Tower (its planning application was submitted at the end of 2024) with completion possibly in around 2030. There will be a total of 11 Towers and about 150 townhouses when Yarra’s Edge is finished. The total project value is currently estimated to be around $2 billion.
But the Yarra’s Edge precinct is so much more than a set of numbers!
It is the beautiful, sunny, happy home for about 3000 residents now and, surprisingly, one of Melbourne’s most connected communities. Roughly 20% of residents are aged 40 to 50, 35% 50 to 60 and 25% over 70 – about 60% being owner occupiers.
Yarra’s Edge is a true hidden gem, on the doorstep of one of the best cities in the world and boasting a sunny, north-facing aspect, along the banks of its major river.

The Tower5 web site will only contain information that the OC approves to be put into the public domain. It will contain photos and names of people and residents and information about activities and projects in the building. If you would like any content or images removed or changed please contact the OC Manager.
